Join us for an afternoon of Bowling Fun!
The Kerrydale PTA invites you to join us at Bowl America (13409 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, Va) on Saturday, November 7th from 1-4pm. Cost is $8 per person, which includes two games of bowling and shoe rental. Flyers will be sent home on Wednesday with more information. Bring all of your friends and enjoy an afternoon together with our Kerrydale family!
Get your Kerrydale Spirit Wear!
Kerrydale Spirit Wear is on sale NOW, through November 9th. Information was send home in Friday Folders. Orders, with money, must be turned into the Kerrydale PTA by November 9th. Orders will be delivered in 3-4 weeks. This is a great way to show your Kerrydale Spirit and support the PTA!
Join us for November's Principal's Tea
You are invited to stop by on Tuesday, November 10th from 9:15-10:15am to meet Dr. Leonard and hear about what's happening at Kerrydale. This is also your chance to share any questions and learn more about Kerrydale Elementary. Light refreshments will be served. Look for more information and how to sign up in your child's Friday Folder. We hope to see you there!
NO SCHOOL on Veteran's Day
In honor of Veteran's Day, all PWCS schools will be closed on November 11th. Please tell a Veteran thank you this month!
Get your 2009-2010 Kerrydale Yearbook!
You won't want to miss the 2009-2010 Kerrydale Yearbook! It will be packed full of memories and pictures of this year at Kerrydale. A MUST HAVE for our students and families! Yearbooks are $13 each and can only be ordered NOW through November 20th. Yearbooks will arrive in June. Please send in your child’s order form with cash or check, payable to Kerrydale Elementary, to their teacher. NEW THIS YEAR: You may also place your order online, using your Mastercard or Visa. Go to spledidportraits.com. Type in #237559001 into the Order Portraits & More Box. Click Individual Portraits. Select Yearbook and follow the directions given on the next screen. H1N1 Letter & Action Steps
Prince Willam County Public School Division is experiencing a number of studnts and staff with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness. The health and safety of our students and staff is always of the utmost importance. Please refer to the PWCS website at www.pwcs.edu or the VDH Web site at www.vdh.virginia.gov for more information and helpful resources regarding the H1N1 virus.

If your child is experiencing flu symptoms, particularly fever, please keep him or her at home and contact your family’s healthcare provider.
Following these simple steps can help to keep your family healthy. These include:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Clean hands with an alcohol-based hand cleaner if soap and water are not available.
- Cover your nose and mouth with your sleeve or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- Stay home when you are sick, until you are fever-free for 24 hours – without the use of fever-reducing medication.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth to prevent the spread of germs.
- Avoid close contact with those who have symptoms of flu.
- Seek care for you or your child; please call ahead to your health care provider's office and tell them what symptoms you have, so they can see you quickly and prevent exposing other people in the waiting room.
Visiting Kerrydale
At Kerrydale Elementary, we welcome visitors. During school hours, all visitors must show an ID in the Office where it is scanned in the Raptor system. You will be given a visitor's badge to wear while you are at Kerrydale. This procedure is in compliance with Prince William County Public School policy and is designed to safeguard our students.
Parent Registration for Website/Edulink Access
This year parents may register to become members of their child’s class web page on the Kerrydale web site. Once it is created, Parents will also use the same login to access Edulink Intouch. Parents who wish to register must obtain an authorization letter in person at the Kerrydale Main Office. A photo ID is required. This authorization letter contains a passcode which permits parents to register online (Kerrydale home page, “New User Registration”).
If you have multiple students in one school or different schools, you must go to each office to pick up the authorization letter for each child. A photo ID is required. You will then be able to create one log in that can be used to access each school's website.
Authorization letters may be picked up at school in the Main Office from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You MUST have a valid photo ID to pick up your letter.

Be Green & Help Kerrydale
Recycle your laser and ink jet printer cartridges and your old cell phones to help raise money to support Kerrydale's programs! Deposit cartridges and cell phones in the box in the computer lab or in the mailroom by the main office. No need to send them anywhere yourself, just send them to Kerrydale with your student and we'll take care of the rest. Last year with your support, we were able to buy two much needed digital cameras and computer software. Thank you for your support of Kerrydale!!
